Schedule for bye – elections for Punjab and Kerala states





Election Commission of India announced schedule for bye – elections for Parliamentary Constituency of Punjab and State Legislative Assembly of Kerala recently. It is going to conduct these elections because there is vacancy in both Punjab and Kerala states. The Election Commission of India had also announced elections to the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council where elections will be held on 15 September 2017.

It also checked weather conditions and electoral rolls before finalising its decision to hold bye – elections. These bye – elections will be held to fill casual vacancies in State Legislative Assembly of Kerala as well as Parliamentary Constituency of Punjab.
